A friend of mine was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia during labor with her first child. A few days after going home with her second child, she was back at the hospital with pre-eclampsia. I'm grateful she knew what to look for and was prepared to manage her situation.
Not everyone is so fortunate. Nationwide, there's quite a gap in post-natal care.
