This is an important opinion piece. This man is white and gay, arguing his opinion as one disqualifies him while he's qualified to speak as another. Interesting paradigm!
I'm Jewish and female, but white... How does my voice fit in?
My husband is a white Christian, and he feels the world doesn't want him anymore, especially when it comes to jobs.
While we have all this hateful rhetoric being spewed, I think we are missing one point of privilege: bringing others up takes away from the stature AND PRIVILEGE of those who have it. And it just do happens white Christian men still control the government. Normal everyday men just want to keep their status quo, and feel every one else is trying to take from them.
It's socialism of status!
(I just came up with that.)
