Warning: this story will make you both sad and angry. A woman was raped for working at a clinic. The perpetrator calls himself pro-life! It irks me to no end how so-called pro-lifers don't care two cents about the quality of life and really don't seem to care about lives of people with whom they disagree.
Another sub-story is how the asshole was never punished for his crime despite overwhelming evidence. The woman feared retribution on top of not wanting to re-live the event!
Ugh! I hope in my lifetime we'll see legislation to curb rape culture and treat rape victims with care. I don't think a rapist should be allowed to "face his accuser" and I would like to see evidence from other victims allowed in if one chooses to prosecute.
Might be hard to convince a jury of an isolated incident, but there are so many repeat-offenders the justice system protects!
