This is an interesting topic. Coming from a large family, I'm so used to the chaos of multiple conversations... and I'm such a dominant person by nature, that I don't always notice when people aren't talking (it's usually the brothers-in-law). While it might not work with my family, it can definitely be applied to smaller groups.
