Number one happened last night. We had roasted chicken and I gave Adina some of the skin from the piece I shared with her. She did not appreciate us being out of skin on our piece and I told her she could not take it from Daddy's piece, she had to ask him.
A: "May I have some skin, please."
She asked perfectly, just like we've been teaching her!
T: "No."
A: "Yes you may, I say!" This is her repeating my response. She hasn't learned yet, that she doesn't have to repeat me, so my instruction gets added on.
T: "I love how you asked nicely, but this is my skin, and just because you asked for it, does not mean you get to have it."
