Today I'm grateful that Tony understands and values self-reflection. He came home yesterday, a little later than usual, because he'd gotten his car washed. I was outside playing with Adina, and not keeping track of time. He was all upset that dinner wasn't ready, and the outside chores weren't done.
I went inside and got dinner together. Tony came in when it was time to eat, and greeted me with kisses and hugs. He thanked for the yard work I had done, and for dinner, and told me it was really delicious.
Fast-forward to bed time. He explained to me how he was truly hangry when he got home today. It occurred to him while he was doing his chores outside, and he reminded himself not to take it out on me. Clearly I'd noticed. And I thanked him for making and adjustment.
