Mother's Day Weekend

What a great weekend!

Friday there was a major crash bucking up traffic in all of Atlanta. Add to that I had to meet a plumber at my house due to a crazy horrible whistle at my house.

2:40 I talk to the plumber, they said they can be there in about an hour, I left work to get Adina, then drove South. The guy beat me there by 20 minutes. He diagnosed the issue as a the fill valve in the toilet, so I went to Home Depot for the part. Tony met us at the house and we went to dinner.

I love Outback Steakhouse. It's probably the only chain restaurant I love. They had a "Mum's Day Special" 3 course menu for the whole weekend. I had lamb chops and added a grilled lobster tail for only $4. Plus, they now offer a 9oz glass of wine, which is a great deal and allowed me to have more than my usual glass, without going nutso.

Saturday we went to the zoo. I will write more about it in my other blog, but it was so fantastic to see Adina get excited, and, to see her RECOGNIZE the animals she's learned about!

After the zoo, the three of us did yard work together. I know it's not glamorous, but Adina participated and it felt good to all work on a single project!

That evening we uncovered our patio furniture for the first time. It was such a beautiful day outside, and we grilled and hung out on the deck. Tony and I had couple beers, and Adina cheered with apple juice (at one point hitting her cup so hard against Tony's can that it splashed and spooked her).

Sunday started with lots of phone calls. My friend Heather, my sister Amit, and my mom... then my Realtor, who had an offer on my house! Again we did some work in the yard, then went to Costco. In the afternoon, Adina hung out with me while I made some pasta dough. Then Tony took over while I made dinner. After dinner, I took an hour to go shopping, and then came home to put Adina to bed and watch the end of a movie we'd started the night before.

It was just perfect.
