Viability is more than just a heartbeat! I hear so many heart-breaking abortion stories related to wanted, but unviable fetuses. This story brings in religion, which I feel mixed about. I'm mixed because I think politically, religion should not impact women's rights. However, the author is Jewish, and her outlook on the definition of life matches mine: if it's not viable, if it cannot live without suffering, then it is acceptable. And she has, basically, a religious affidavit claiming that. I'm fine with it on a personal level, but not on a policy level.
