This is nothing new to me, but I liked the article for two reasons. First is the obvious one, that children should be praised in a way that is qualitative, not generic, and the praise should be given on the effort not the trait. Secondly, it's the mother's noticing of her own involvement. Being present with your children, which can be tough at times (especially while making dinner!), is not only important to their development, it's also immensely joyful.
