This article hits the nail on the head, though it only talks about emotions.
Here are some things that aren't mentioned:
- Do Progressives see Palestine as a safe haven for the LGBTQ community? (They're not)
- Do Progressives see Palestine as a place where women are treated equally? (They're not)
- Do Progressives understand that Israel gave Palestinians a right to self-determination? (It's true, and it was 2005, then they elected Hamas in 2007)
- Do Progressives realize that genocide means an attempt to wipe out an ethnic group? (The number of Palestinians has tripled since 1948)
And they conveniently don't even consider:
- Hamas's mission is to eliminate Jews
- "From the River to the Sea" is the space occupied by Israel, Palestinians want the whole thing for themselves.
- The only reason a two-state solution doesn't exist today is because every time it's been offered, the Palestinians have said, "No!" (see previous bullet point)
- Any of the history prior to 1948, or 1967, or 2005
