A Couple Articles on the Right to Choose

When the Supreme Court allowed Texas' vigilante law to move forward, I knew Roe was essentially dead. We're seeing the demise of our government, with a majority of the Supreme Court justices having been appointed by presidents who didn't win the popular vote, and confirmed by Senators representing less than half of the country. Minority rule is practically set in stone... though I hope this decision is so unpopular that the GOP is kicked to the curb.

I'm Jewish. My life is more important than an unborn and unviable fetus. There's no debate about it in my religion. Since most of the anti-choice legislation is based on Christian dogma (not the Bible), it angers me that their views are imposed upon me. But please also note, most Christians don't support a full abortion ban.

Speaking of disagreements, many arguments of the anti-choice movement revolve around lies. With abortion rates on steady decline since the 80s and as low as they've ever been since Roe, these anti-choice people are grasping at straws! As a surgical operation, abortions are extremely safe. A majority of terminations happen in the first 8 weeks, with another huge chunk in the four weeks after that. Most women seeking abortions are poor (and it's not even covered by healthcare, which is why we should abort the Hyde!)

Bless the people, who cannot wait to be parents, but learn late in the pregnancy that their fetus isn't viable, or worse, that if the pregnancy isn't terminated, the pregnant person could die.

It doesn't bother me if someone is against abortion, it only bothers me if they want the government to take that decision away from me.
