Hearing the teaser for this piece made me scream out loud, "What?!" And hearing the whole story only filled me with anger, on top of more anger. 

I can't fathom a situation where it's okay to penalize poverty with taking away children and not returning them until poverty is conquered while getting fined! It's bass ackwards!

And you'd think with a system that loses 75% of the money it spends on collecting, it would be a no-brained to end, but no, taxpayers are footing the bill for this ill-conceived penalty!

Then top it by hijacking the stimulus checks during a pandemic, I honestly don't know how these people sleep!
